We
are not different, you and me,
The
only thing could be what you see.
There
is no difference with what we do,
We
live, we laugh, we sing … we do!
You
have your religion and I have mine.
But
we both put our pants on one foot at a time.
Our
opinions differ, and sometimes they clash,
But
I accept who you are because friendship should last.
Accepting
of others is what we should do best,
Anything
more is better but any less is a jest.
When we dig beneath the surface, I think we find far more similarities than differences. I enjoyed reading this poem.
