We're the Same by Anonymous

We are not different, you and me,

The only thing could be what you see.

There is no difference with what we do,

We live, we laugh, we sing … we do!

You have your religion and I have mine.

But we both put our pants on one foot at a time.

Our opinions differ, and sometimes they clash,

But I accept who you are because friendship should last.

Accepting of others is what we should do best,

Anything more is better but any less is a jest.

  1. When we dig beneath the surface, I think we find far more similarities than differences. I enjoyed reading this poem.
